CNN Crossfire moderator Robert Novak suggested Monday night that he is an exception that proves the rule -- that the news media displays a liberal bent. Speaking at Northwestern University in Illinois, Novak, who also writes a conservative political column for the Chicago Sun-Times, remarked: "People often ask me if the press is biased, and I often answer with a question: 'Is the Pope Catholic?' ... I'm a token [at CNN]. Why else would they keep a 71-year-old man around like that?"

Not only is he a token, he is the designated liberal punching bag. It is pathetic the way he allows Al Hunt and Mark Shields to bully and gang up on him all the time.

At least he got it right.......he is a token. I just wish the token was more articulate to get a little of the message out. Bob Novak is not the person capable of doing that.

At CNN the only conservatives I can see are: Novak, Lou Dobbs, Tucker Carlson and Kate O'Bierne. They had Mona Charen for a while but must have dumped her as she was too articulate. I just ignore them now and go directly to Fox.

Bob Novak is not the person capable of doing that.
