A General for the Democrats? Are dyspeptic Democrats ready to turn to a military man for leadership?
Retired four-star general Wesley Clark, who has been famously opaque about his party preference and political future, met privately last week in New York City with a group of high-rolling Democrats and told them he was seriously considering a run for the White House, sources tell TIME.

Clark was a joke....a typical poitical general who commanded little respect amoung his troops. Used to let friends and important people win at NTC when he commanded there.

Bombing Serbia wasn't exactly Operation Overlord, and Wesley Clark ain't exactly Eisenhower.

A general from an administration that waged war to cover-up the Presidents mis-deeds in an oval office sex romp.
Hmmm!
Bring'em on. Maybe he could pick Hillary or Al as his running mate. LOL

ROBERT NOVAK: Members of Congress who, during their spring recess, met in Brussels with Gen. Wesley Clark, the NATO supreme commander, were startled by his bellicosity. According to the lawmakers, Clark suggested the best way to handle Russia's supply of oil to Yugoslavia would be aerial bombardment of the pipeline that runs through Hungary. He also proposed bombing Russian warships that enter the battle zone. The American general was described by the members of the congressional delegation as waging a personal vendetta against Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic. "I think the general might need a little sleep," commented one House member.-Balkan News from The Progressive Review
"I am a kind of hard-nosed, dusty boots armor man who knows what it takes to maneuver men," Clark said.
Clark is a longtime friend of Clinton and his current position has more to do with his political flexibility than his war making prowess. He is reportedly referred to as the " Supreme Being " by the more earnest soldiers under his command.
From ... did anyone else notice that Clark was commanding Fort Hood, Texas during the Waco incident? Most (if not all) of the illegal military hardware and personnel used against the women and children at Waco came from Fort Hood, Texas

"A General for Democrats?" Hmmm - who could that be? He should be a general to "inspire" his troops. With unique "democrat" qualifications and leadership skills. Let's see:
I've got it - General Custer! He's got what it takes:
1. Good leadership skills - i.e. style over substance, and most important he's
2. Dead. Like many typical democrat voters (and candidates)

This guy would get burned. Colin Powel and Norman Shwarzkof both despise the man, especially stormin Norman. Tommy Franks isn't exactley a fan either. Wesley Clark had to be relieved of his command by Cohen (Clinton's spinless RINO secretary of defense) because the fear that Wesley Clark was on the verge of starting WW III. He wanted to attack the russians and may have been complicit in genocide. He threatened to attack the british when there commanding officers refused to "follow along the steps of madness in regards to attack a neutral ship without provaction nor warning". His political views are no mystery though to those who know him. He's not a bleeding heart liberal, nor a moderate conservative. He's an out and out pure authoritarian wannabe Facist. He can call him self a moderate, he actually manages to take the worst traits of the RATS, and mix them with anything negative that the GOP might have, all in the name of total control. This guy scares the living hell out of me.

Clark has no natural constituency. The military (pick a service) & GOP hate him as Clinton & Holbrooke's boy who took out a true war hero Adm. Leighton Smith. The libs see him as just another Republican with a military record.
KKT's running mate Adm. Chuck Larson comes to mind as someone who tried to pull off the same conversion and looked stupid in the process. If the end result is the same then I'm happy.

General Clark was a Clinton bootlicker. Typical that he'd be a Democrat.

Clark was despised by his fellow soldiers as "the Ultimate Perfumed Prince." He made a record of bombing civilian targets, hospitals, refugee columns, a TV station. He twice tried to start a war with Russia. And he did such a lousy job of it that even Bill Cliton couldn't stand him, and fired him after the war was over. This guy is going nowhere.
