Powell Wants to Import Muslims

Secretary of State Colin Powell seems to think there is somehow a shortage of Muslims in the United States, because he wants to import them.

He "is trying to expand programs to bring educators, journalists and political and religious leaders from Islamic countries to the United States," the Associated Press reported.

"We are committed to ensuring that our programs reach out to Muslims in all walks of life," Powell told a gathering of American Muslims on Monday at an Iftaar, the meal that breaks daylong fasts during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

"From the mountains of Afghanistan to the valleys of Bosnia to the plains of Africa to the forests of Asia and around the world we are on the ground working with our Muslim partners to expand to the circle of peace, the circle of prosperity, the circle of freedom," he said.

Describing extremism and violence as America's greatest enemies, Powell said, "We must not listen to the siren song of the bigots, extremists who cloak themselves in false spirituality in an attempt to divide and to weaken us."

How nice. Let's just hope that this time the P.C.-crazed State Department doesn't let in any more 9/11-style terrorists.

Is Powell out of his freaking mind???? Look at what is happening to Europe - there are so many of them that the Euroweenies are scared to death of them. They are even trying to make another Islamic state out of England and I am sure other countries. That's the gratitude we will get from allowing more of these nutjobs in our country. After 9/11 they never ONCE spoke out against the terrorists or march or protested against them. They never once said we condemn it with all our hearts on national TV or asked Al Jazeera to broadcast this to their homes about how much they are against the Al-Qaeda and its extremism. NOT ONCE!!! All they do is whine about how they are being discriminated against since 9/11. Powell is under a delusion that the teachers of Islam are peaceloving. There is nothing about that religion that is peaceful and there never was. That is a delusion that Washington and the PC crowd holds. I supposed Powell has been holding talks with the heads of the "Whiny - we are being discriminated against" American Muslim groups. I am sick and tired of these people in Washington telling us to whom to tolerate. I am sick of tolerating people who don't appreciate this country and harbor a hatred and jealousy for it. How much reality has to smack Powell in the face before he learns?

But, wait till powell is outside of them and then close them! It is about time the President listen to his own speech, he said "Those who are not with us are against us".

Well, the un isn't with us. Powell doesn't seem to be with us. And the muslims sure as $%(& are not with us.

It is time to evict the un, have a chat with Powell and evict the muslims. We need to evict the un and stop supporting them for they are not with us therfore they are our enemies. So, why are we suporting with our tax dollars our enemies?

Or is what the President says just for show?

Powell should go and live in a Muslim land. America should be one place in this world where people can live free of the curse of Islam. When Muslims come to the USA, they want all sorts of special accomodations that deprive of us of our freedom, so I pray they will find somewhere else to go.

what amazes me is the number of conservatives who blithly suggest that Powell is the perfect VP candidate in '04. None of them have any iota of what the man stands for, and, in fact, seem to assume that his ideology mirrors Bush the younger's because he is in his cabinet.
You want the most prominent Black Conservative alive today: Clarence Thomas. What the liberal press did to that man was criminal.

You know...Powell might be on to something. I think that Liberty and Justice for All would be something they could learn and take home. I'd invite them to my Thanksgiving Meal. I think they'd most likely be looking for moderates and influential people that would make change when they go back to their countries. Take them to the Bible Belt, Tulsa and NW Arkansas, get them into some meetings where people show love to one another regardless of race. Let's do it.

How will they ever be able to ask hard questions about their own faith unless they have freedom to do so? How will they ever know Christ unless they have the freedom to study Christianity?

Lesson 3: The truth of Jesus Christ.

Closing the borders prevents learning and ultimately freedom.
