This story was around not long after 11 Sept. It didn't pass the smell test then. It doesn't pass the smell test now. It has the odor of a conclusion in search of collaborating theory and corroborating evidence. None of which are really present.

The allies flew thousands of bombers over Europe in the last 3 years of war. B-17's, B-24's, Lancaster and Wellington bombers leave contrails. Was the weather different downwind from these air operations? Was the worlds climate different from the 30's to the late 40's ?

What about cows? Weren't cows responsible for greenhouse emissions a few years before the WTC attacks? What these "Scientists" are sniffing, isn't contrails.

Yeah, it smells funny to me too...posted it to hear others' comments. I'm skeptical you could even shut down air travel for a year and come up with a conclusion that couldn't be as easily explained as a statistical bump.
