But the problem then becomes hunger. The beauty of the Atkins approach is that you are nowhere NEAR as hungry as you used to be; that is, when you ate bread and potatoes and pizza and desserts (and don't forget those breakfast cereals). I'm hardly ever hungry on this plan, but I never skip meals. Initially, I went on it to control my hypoglycemia and food allergies. I was shocked to find out how much it's stabilized my blood sugar. Now, I have no more hypoglemic episodes and my allergic reactions are gone. Other added benefits: no more insomnia (I sleep like a rock), my skin looks a thousand times better, no more indigestion, I can *concentrate*, and I never get sleepy during the day. There's more, but I don't want to be long-winded. :)
Add me and my entire family to the list of low carbohydrate dieters. I agree with you entire list of benefits from eating this way - and then some.
The bashers of this diet will descend upon this thread shortly. I've seen it happen time and time again. It's just not worth trying to tell people who are so sure they are right.
It saved my life and restored my health. That's all I know. I will never eat any other way. I suggest anyone who is interested to seriously look into it....not just to lose weight, but for the health benefits.
