The last paragraph really surprised me. I thought for sure Microsoft would make an exhaustive study of the threats posed by Windows as a result, rather than studying open source!
Nah. That's just Microsoft's "look over there" approach to deflecting attention from their own flaws.
OTOH, I'm surprised the Japanese have waited this long to look at hardening their IT infrastructure. They've got some talented hacker/cracker groups over there.
