The West Wing is a vehicle for liberals in denial. It's a "comfort zone" where they can retreat to when reality gets too uncomfortable. They always win in this fantasy world, because it's part of the script. If they let a Republican win, it would be too close to real life after all, and if they wanted reality they wouldn't be liberals.

Perhaps the best way to deal with liberals is to convince them that West Wing is reality - they can live full time in fantasy land with stories about his administration in all the lib papers: NY Times, Washinton Post, Variety, SF Chronicle, Minneapolis Red Star, etc., while the rest of the country gets on with the real business of government and problem-solving.
