''Conservatives are a distinct minority here at Tufts, and consequently, the concerns of our community are not adquately represented,'' he wrote in The Tufts Daily. ''Conservative students have been harassed and physically assaulted, their media stolen and vandalized. Hate messages have been scrawled on bathroom walls and dorm whiteboards, and individuals have been verbally berated and ridiculed.... Has the Senate passed a resolution asking for dialogue with conservatives? No. Has the Bias Response Team [considered] these problems with the same seriousness they show other minorities? No.''

It would be a novel idea if these institutions just taught their students rather than spend (waste) so much time on "cultural" diversity.

Awhile back someone did an experiment on diversity and affirmitive action on a college campus. They set up a table and asked students to sign a petition if they supported diversity and affirmitive action. The ones that signed were toldl thank you for donating their slot so it can be given to a minority. Not a single one thought it was fair. I hope the seed of conservatism they were given was allowed to grow.

''They [so-called diversity programs] are nothing more than a way of giving preference to favored groups on campus.'' Absolutely correct. It's been proven time and again that this movement is not about equality but about disempowering the status quo. It's one of the critical tactics in Marx's dialectical revolution. The bourgeoisie, otherwise known as the Middle Class, must be overthrown and subjugated. Every gain in any other class must come at the expense of the petite bourgeoisie.

This helps prove how there's no diversity...
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A22619-2002Oct26.html
After graduation recently, 2.5 million American seniors enrolled in either a two-year or a four-year college. Almost a million did not. They were overwhelmingly poor, male and white. Much to the surprise of social scientists who traditionally have looked for educational problems among minorities, low-income black and Hispanic men are more likely to go to college right out of high school than white guys. So are young women of any background, in fact.

'It's been proven time and again that this movement is not about equality but about disempowering the status quo. It's one of the critical tactics in Marx's dialectical revolution'It is also necessary that the majority, middle-class/status-quo/conservative, be made to doubt itself, to teach the young that their position is unearned and unfair. It is necessary to take away their ability to debate and to fight.
It's been going on since, oh, say the time 'flower power' was coined.

Well, like Jeb Bush said when abolishing race-based preferences on campuses:
ONE Florida.

"''All that the social engineers of diversity mean,'' Alan Kors and Harvey Silverglate wrote in ''The Shadow University,'' their important 1998 book about the death of liberty and free inquiry on US campuses, ''is the appreciation, celebration, and study of those people who think exactly as they do.... Academic diversity and multiculturalism have remarkably narrow limits - race, gender, `oppressed' ethnicity, and sexual preference.... The academic use of the terms `diversity' and `multicultural' has become a politicized perversion of language.'' "Amen.
