London cleric told followers ‘to kill’ (RELIGION OF PEACE ALERT)
The Sunday Times ^ | November 17, 2002 | Stephen Grey and Nick Fielding

Posted on 11/16/2002 4:50:00 PM PST by MadIvan

THE radical north London cleric, Sheikh Abu Hamza, may face arrest after the emergence of secret video tapes in which he incites the death of Americans and suggests that he may have had advance knowledge of a successful plot to blow up an American warship in Yemen two years ago, write Stephen Grey and Nick Fielding.

An anonymous investigator who infiltrated Hamza’s circle last week posted on the internet a series of videos shot by the cleric’s supporters of rallies held in Britain in which Hamza incites his followers to commit terrorist attacks. “Kill them. It’s okay,” he tells an audience.

In one meeting in 1998 Hamza praises the twin bombings by Al-Qaeda of the American embassies in Tanzania and Kenya, in which 224 people died. Asked if such attacks were justified, he said: “If Muslims are having a war against this people, yes it’s legitimate.”

Hamza, who lives freely in London, says that if a “kafir” (non-believer) enters a Muslim country then he is “like a cow” and can be sold into slavery or killed. Then, without prompting, Hamza talks about attacking a ship that may enter Muslim waters. “Even if it is a ship, a ship that has lost its way, then they will take it as booty,” he says. If a Muslim cannot capture his enemy then it is acceptable to kill them, he says.

The videos of the Hamza meeting were placed on a website, johnathangaltfilms.com, by an investigator who claims to have infiltrated Hamza’s circle by posing as a supporter.

Hamza said he was simply explaining Islamic law and that bombings were a legitimate response to the rounding up and arrest of innocent Muslims in Albania. Hamza and his organisation, the Supporters of Sharia, have always denied being actively involved in terrorism, even though he has openly condoned atrocities.

He is banned by a High Court order from preaching at his Finsbury Park mosque because of his inflammatory speeches.

Paging President Bush. Calling Tony Blair. No, it's not a religion of peace.

It's just a matter of time before citizens start taking the law into their own hands. I'd say one more terrorist attack will do it.

Aren't you so happy that you have experienced the same decade of unmonitored immigration into your nation. Just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. </sarcasm off

In reality, I think that England is in as much if not more danger than we are. I pray that your nation finds it's backbone again before London or another great city pays the price that we have already on this side of the Atlantic. Your nation and ours have to get rid of this radical Islam and unrestricted immigration policy. Before it's too late again.

I agree. One more "significant event" and the Muslim population in America is going to draw some fire (please note that I'm not advocating this - but I understand...).

Why does the article call inciting people to murder others, "preaching"?

'Cuz that's what it is, in the Islamic context.

I think it's grammatically correct to say you can "preach hatred".

How charming. Death and terrorism seems to be all so many of them in Islam know. While we advance into the 21st century, they're still in the 1st.

I thought the UK had eliminated capital punishment. (And why New Labour doesn't restore it, instead of going after fundamental parts of our traditional legal system like jury trial and double jeopardy, I'll never understand.)

By the way, here in Maryland, the so-called "Free State," our new Republican governor, Ehrlich, says he is going to immediately end Gov. Glendening's ridiculous moratorium on the death penalty.

"Kill them. It's okay."

His comments sound similar to what I'm reading about the days of Muhammed and the development of their religion. That's the kind of shit that Muhammed okayed.

I'm reading "The Sword of the Prophet - The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam" by Serge Trifkovic, a European historian, 2002, Regina Orthodox Press, http://www.reginaorthodoxpress.com.

In the chapter, "Jihad Without End": "The Muslims are obliged to wage struggle against unbelievers and may contemplate tactical ceasefires, but never its complete abandonment short of the unbelievers' submission. This is the real meaning of jihad."

"The view of modern Islamic activists, that "Islam must rule the world and until Islam does rule the world we will continue to sacrifice our lives," is neither extreme nor even remarkable from the standpoint of traditional Islam. It has been divinely sanctioned from the moment Muhammad had established a safe power base in Medina....Allah further orders the faithful to fight the unbelievers, and be firm with them. "And slay them wherever ye catch them...."

Now if you or I did this, we'd be up on hate crime charges. But I suppose that doesn't apply to representatives of the Religion of Peace and Love.
