Mr. Conyers, who did not identify any particular issue, went on to denounce black Republicans. "Why do you think that getting some money and a title and job is somehow going to change the fact that you are black from the moment you are born till the time you die?" He said the appointments of Secretary of State Colin L. Powell and National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice mean nothing. "If you think having those two stand in the background of Bush putting two black people, very qualified, very admirable, very smart — so what?"

This SOB wants to play God. They are so in denial about losing support from African-Americans who happen to think a little differently about themselves. He also conveinently forgets which party was in charge and primarily responsible for Jim Crowe activity-why not seek reperations from the Democratic party? I believe many African-Americans are seeing through this veneer and appreciate the fact that a black man stands just a few steps away from the presidency, a black woman is in the highest advisory role ever, and that she may very well become the first black VP. What is everyone else missing?

This guy is a complete idiot. So what is he suggesting blacks do? Not get a job or make money but sit around and whine about the fact that they are black? This guy is a moron. We will never get to a color blind society with the likes of this guy as elected officials. Talk about hateful. Maybe we should make it a hate crime when they talk like this about Republicans.
