Welcome. :)
So, how do you feel about the Clintons now? :D
To: NYC GOP Chick
I nevr did think much of Bill. I had to hold my nose to vote for him. Unfortunately I didn't much of Bob Dole either so voting for Clinton was a little easier than one would think. On the other hand, ... though I may vote for a strong and honorable Democratic candidate (is there such a thing anymore?) , I doubt I would ever vote a straight Democratic ticket again. Not all Democrats are the DU communist type ... just most of them. BTW I will probably vote for George W in 2004 ... heaven please help my late grandparents to forgive me.

I didn't much = I didn't think much ... it's late

You gotta refine your techniqueI keep telling him that. Maybe he doesn't understand the big words.
If I couldn't be a better troll than THAT, I just wouldn't bother. ;D

As a former and recently banned DU'er who has since seen the light. . . Welcome, redshirt; hope you learn lots here, as the rest of us also strive to do the same. As you saw last night, there are also times for humor.

Awww, thanks so much.

Good start. So, what do you think of Hillary? :D

Considering that I *do* troll the DUmpster on occasion and have never been "caught," (banned) I believe that I *am* a better troll than he/she/it is. :D

I could never stand either of the Clintons. BUT I was a good little party member and voted accordingly. That is something I will NEVER do again

The key is to just vote for the person you think is best, regardless of party. Yeah, it sounds simple, but...
Do you mind if I ask whether you voted Bush or Gore in '00?
To: NYC GOP Chick
I voted for Gore ... Now I thank God he was NOT elected. I will most likely vote Bush in 2004
To: 1redshirt
Did you vote for Gore because you really liked him and thought that he'd be the best (available) guy for the job or was it a vote against Bush or just something that you did because he was your party's candidate?
Also, if you don't mind my asking, what state/city are in? Thanks :)
To: NYC GOP Chick
I voted party line ... San Jose Calif
To: 1redshirt
Ahh, very interesting. Is San Jose pretty liberal?
Thanks for answering all my questions -- I'm just a very curious person. :)
To: NYC GOP Chick
Not as liberal as San Francisco ... but still fairly liberal
To: 1redshirt
That's what I assumed. As someone who lives in one of THE most left-wing districts in the nation, I can certainly sympathize...

From Thomas Sowell's column
That is what makes the Democrats as dangerous as a wounded bear. They know that their best hope for a political comeback is to turn some Americans against other Americans, stirring up resentments and fears among blacks and envy of "the rich" among others. In short, enhancing their future prospects involves polarizing Americans, at the expense of the country's future.
They can count on those in the media as allies. This is not just because of the well-established fact that nine-tenths of media journalists vote Democratic, but because the whole approach of the media favors polarization.
