"Rove said privately."

Obviously not.

Goals of this book:

1. CREATE DIVISION IN THE ADMINISTRATION. (Look at this...Rove supposedly griping about Powell, Cheney hell-bent, Rove making a Nazi comment).

2. BRING DOWN BUSH APPROVAL RATINGS BY HINTING HE COULD HAVE PREVENTED 9/11.

Woodward has this nifty little trick of going "inside the mind" and inferring he has been told this. I don't believe it for a minute, and I don't care what he says, unless he has it on tape I am not believing Rove made that comment.

Our work is never done. We are always having to watch these people.

Is this author the same guy who "channelled" a former CIA director for one of his earlier books, as the man was in a coma and dying? Or am I confusing him with some other intellectually bankrupt member of the press?

Woodward makes up stuff. He has no credibility after the Casey book. He is not to be believed and his intention of writing the book is to sow dissension in this Administration.

I am also convinced that Deep Throat will turn out to be a composite of information rather than one person. A literary straw man created for effect.
