To: Mr. Michael Moore
Michael Moore, we come to you as very concerned citizens of the United States.
First of all, we want you to know that we have the utmost respect for you and your insistence on doing the right thing in support of freedom, truth and human rights. Through your words and actions, you have shown us that there is still a beacon of hope for the state of our nation.
It is our faith in the future of America, and the facing of the painful realities of the past and present, that brings us to you. America needs Michael Moore in the Oval Office.
We realize that you currently show no interest in running for election. Still, we share the hope of many that you will eventually, and hopefully soon, choose to be a candidate for President in the 2004 election.
Rather than telling us No, we only ask that you allow us to rally a base of support for a campaign for your Presidency. We believe the support needed to elect Michael Moore as President is yours, should you decide to.
The signatures below from this petition can help provide evidence that the grassroots support needed to get you elected as President does indeed exist.
It’s time for a wake up call in America, and we believe that you are just the person to sound that alarm. We have watched you on television and read your books and we have cried, raged and laughed beside you. We believe that you are one of very few crusaders of truth in a world where truth is swiftly becoming a lacking element. We hope that you will consider putting your words and ideas into action by running in the 2004 election.
There are many of us standing by to do what needs done to get the to get Michael Moore elected President in 2004. We also anticipate that many from the Green Party and Libertarian Party,as well as many who do not affiliate with any party, will gladly support your candidacy.
We anticipate your affirmative reply, and we will gladly work to show you the level of support you have. Every signature on this petition signifies a vote for you in the next election.
America needs you -- as President.
