Another Catholic abortion supporter. Kennedy, Pelosi, Kennedy Townsend, Patrick Kennedy and a host of others supporting abortion. When will these bishops call them up on the abortion issues. I am really sick of it. An email campaign to each diocese would not hurt.

Religion: Roman Catholic. That should read "Claimed Religion".
Saddam Hussien is a better Catholic than Leahy.

Patrick J. Leahy (D) of Middlesex
Incumbent - elected 1974
Born: March 31, 1940, Montpelier. So Leahy is 62. That makes him <1 year older than V.P. Cheney (and myself). It makes him slightly above the age at which one is likely to have been drafted for Viet Nam, but it would not have precluded him from volunteering if he were so inclined. I'm sure he would also criticize Cheney for not going to Viet Nam, but I wonder what his own story would show.

I don't think the Senator was right on the underlying remark, but Leahy's military record is not the issue. Yours is a ploy of deceptive argument. It seeks to redirect the subject and attack the speaker with a non sequitur challenge.

Excuse me! If not serving during Viet Nam is such a big deal Mr Leahy, where were you? I went through Basic Training in 1966 with a guy who got drafted, that was 3 years older than the good senator was at the time.
