Day Care may be the source of a lot of ailments in children.
Had my son's pediatrician back me up on this one. I ended up feeding my son via formula and not breast milk. We were in a parenting group where all the other mothers breast fed. My son was the healthiest one of the whole group. All the other kids were in day care for some length of time during the week. I told him I didn't believe in the theory that breast milk makes the child healthier and that I thought exposure to germs had more to do with it than anything. He totally agreed...and he was a young doctor! I do understand that breast milk can prevent food allergies. However, one of my friends who has this problem was never told when she was breast feeding that she herself needed to avoid the same foods that caused allergies in the kids. Kindof defeated her whole purpose in breast feeding.
And another point on the allergies. Most everyone here in Austin has allegies this time of year..day care or not.
