I've never seen a Gatorade shower called back in my life...not even in the pros!

The exact scenario you descibed in #13 happened this year when Appalachain State beat Furman.

And this is probably 'Immaculate Deflection II' since the Missouri Nebraska game in '95 preserved an undefeated season (which has to be one of the top 5 plays in history)

Say what you want but this is truely pirceless:

Kentucky 22 Louisville 17

UK's defense harasses Dave Ragone all night, limiting him to 14-for-35 passing and 193 yards. U of L turns the ball over three times; UK none.

Hilarious. Look at the faces of the guys in the foreground who realized what had happened.

This is like "Dewey Defeats Truman." It's one of the funniest sports pics ever, reminiscent of the shot of the no-hitter Andy Hawkins of the Yankees threw against the White Sox in 1990. The Yankees lost the game 4-0 when the Chisox scored four runs on three errors and two walks with two out in the bottom of the eighth.

When a pitcher throws a no-hitter, it is incumbent upon photographers to have a shot of the hurler on the mound with the scoreboard in the background as he is throwing the final pitch of the game. For example, the above photo, of Don Larsen's last pitch in the 1956 World Series, with the scoreboard in the background full of the losing team's goose eggs (in this case, the Brooklyn Dodgers). Here's what the scoreboard behind Hawkins looked like as he threw his final pitch of the game:

NEW YORK 000 000 000 043
WHITE SOX 000 000 04x 402

If you have the Real Player, you can listen to the game-losing error here.

Some people could stand to wait until the clock has run out before starting the celebration.

However, regarding your comment, this was more priceless:

UK 22, UL 17

You got that one right. I am a BC grad/fan and was watching the Miami game in my kitchen as I was making a big pot of Marinara Sauce (big Fall harvest of tomatoes and peppers). BC had blown so many chances to win that game, and I was getting angrier by the minute. When they lined up to throw what would obviously be a "Hail Mary" pass, I was so digusted that I walked across the kitchen to turn off the TV. My hand was hovering over the dial when the pass was caught.

Be gentle on them, remember they are a basketball school.

Would you like to change that to "they were a basketball school"?

This shot makes me thankful. One of the advantages of being in a community college is that there is no chance our student body will have to live down something like this.
