I hope people in the future will be kinder to us than you are being to them.

People have long known that mercury causes ALL sorts of problems. They have known many things that they simply didn't care about. I'm not the one to judge them, their ultimate judge they will meet someday whom they will answer to.

I just want the crap they left behind cleaned up. And I'd like those who continue to dump such filth to stop it. Nothing more, nothing less..

Bull, we used to play with Mercury in class all the time.

We used to think it was cool how it would stick together.

You must be pretty young, Mercury was almost a Childs toy at one point and that is when the government came out warning people of the dangers of Mercury.

Just because it was known in some medical documents doesn't mean it was common knowledge and it wasn't.

Ouch, as a conservative/libertarian the name "Superfund" should immediately be recognizable as one of the biggest federal boondogles and the reason for irresponsible prosecution of one company for another's waste. The Superfund is a program affiliated with widespread abuse.

This was the case a decade ago, and little has changed. Look into those facts before praising Superfund(though I'm sure there have been a few sites where cleanup was needed--remember though they sue companies to get funds anyway, so slashes in funds are not always a bad thing)
