Am I the only mean-spirited person who could not possibly care less about any psychobabble justifications for these animals? No you are not the only one.
Too many good, decent people have had horrindous childhoods, you don't see them slaughtering innocent people.
The childhood whine is a cop-out thanks to our liberal psychoanalysts, those very same people who say that it isn't their fault, society made them that way.
Horsehockey. They made themselves that way. They could have chosen to become more than what they were born or raised in, but they didn't. They chose to become animals, in fact they are lower than animals. They have no redeeming qualities or traits.
They are beyond "NDG", they are a waste of air and space.
Perhaps the good Lord will be merciful and forgiving, but as for me and mine, I hope they burn in the hottest rings of hell.

Could not even read the entire transcript. . .
. . .would tell this writer that my heart does bleed, but for the victims; not the perpetrators. . .
There are many people who have grown into 'throw-away' adults; and despite whatever nourished their psyches; they deserve the rewards of Justice for their choices.

"Jonathan was the sensitive one." Well, he certainly outgrew that, now, didn't he?
I'm sick and tired of excuses for crime. When will a person ever take responsibility for their own actions???? It's always someone or something else's fault. Sickening. As an abused child myself, I, nor any of my siblings has ever even thought of anything like this!

If nothing else, this story gives me plenty of support for my belief that any person who attempts to commit suicide should be allowed to do so. They do it for a reason, and know better than any of the rest of us, that THEY SHOULD NOT LIVE.
Still, I can't support the death penalty, but they should certainly be locked up for life somewhere and given plenty of shoelaces, Drano, and a shiv.

The lawyers and RAT media are also trying the "mentally retarded" defense to excuse these murdering barbarians. This will drag on for years, when these animals should have been taken from the courtroom and hanged as soon as the verdict was in.

I have nothing to add to the statements here but this: how could I live in the world media capital, yet not hear about this verdict, outside of FR?

Of the Carrs, H. L. Mencken would have said: "Their continued existence is incompatible with the reasonable security of the rest of us." End of discussion.

A lot of us have wondered the same thing, mrustow. Two things come to mind, though. Either it's because it was a black on white crime, or, they didn't think that the public could handle the vile, heinous crime that it was.

I used to live in Garden City, and Dodge City. I lived within walking distance of where the Clutter family are buried, and used to hunt and shoot within sight of the Clutter family farm. Perry Smith and Dick Hickock were choirboys compared to these two. They didn't tortured their victims, rape them etc. still they deserved to die just like they did.
I would give odds, two to one, maybe even three to one that the little girl who recanted her accusation of rape was in fact telling the truth the first time. It fits their later actions so perfectly.

Lethal Injection is way to good for these muderers. An Old Testament stoning is morer in line for what they have done. Absolutly no mercy!

Either it's because it was a black on white crime, or, they didn't think that the public could handle the vile, heinous crime that it was.It was the black-on-white factor. Had whites committed such a crime, the media would not have doubted the public's ability to handle the facts.

....but i bet you havent missed a lick of the "Why"nona Ryder case! Fox News hinted on this yesterday and touched on the reverse predjudice involved in this case.
After all whats too see. The perps are black from messed up homes with messed up lives, blah, blah, blah, what do you expect them to do when they get bored and layed off and whacked out on crack but do what their ancestors have taught them to do. . Sorry for that thought
We have been getting a fair share of this trial and my wife was alarmed that the rest of the country wasnt aware of it.

Of course, you're right. I thought that I'd just throw a 2nd reason out. When do you think the movie and book will come out? Well, maybe a book, 'cause if a movie were made, the perps would have to be totally covered so as not to show their race.

I agree with you. I came from a family with some pretty intense emotional manipulation(abuse?). I probably have more consideration for others, than I do myself. I to can not conceive of taking another's life outside of a defensive/war situation. And it's not something I'd savor even in that instance.

"I probably have more consideration for others, than I do myself" Wow, sounds familiar. I think it has to do with low self-esteem. As you, we were highly emotionally abused, along with alcohol and some physical thrown into the mix. I know that we're not alone, either. Every time I read something about this case, I just shake my head. I just find it so very hard to believe, I guess, that such evil things are thought of, and how, or why.
