Serg - In the town I currently live in (since 1987), it used to be controlled 100% by the RATs. About 35 years ago, a few candidates got together (5 member town council, 3 up for re-election). The Pubbies campaign slogan was simply: "Had enough?" To make a long story short, all three won seats, and controlled the council. Things got better and two years later the other two RATs were booted out, making it a clean sweep. Well, there's never been another RAT elected since then. In fact, shortly thereafter, the county boys got their act together, and the entire county went Pubbie and has remained that way ever since.

Get the Pubbies in Ca to adopt the same approach and the same Slogan - "Had Enough?" Then quote the issues. Had enough of the energy crisis? Had enough corruption? Had enough water shortages? Had enough abc?(i don't know all the hot buttons out there, but you get the picture)
