Is it just me, or is there something inherently funny about squirrels? Kinda like monkeys, seeing stories about them just makes me laugh.

YES! I don't know if you remember the Honey 'N Nut(or whatever that cereal is called) commercials, those were very entertaining.

Monkeys? Yes, the Simpsons exploits this, sometimes just SAYING the word 'monkey.'

It's more cute than funny, but the "monkey with a cold" verizon commercial is my favorite on TV right now.

Yes, squirrels are a menace to man. They operate in cells, have secret caches of potential weapons(nuts) and will use their 'cute' appearances to facilitate the next step in their grand design.
