Lefties are consistent in that they present personal desires as if they are EVERYONE'S desires or best interests.

Of course, it is the self-evident revealed truth from the church of established liberalism. The doctrinaire aspect of this is very similar to that of any other true believers - "Don't confuse me with the facts"!

It always is great to get advice from the RATS. I talked to this little witch on Brian Whitman's show about three weeks ago. She defended the "Bush pushes old lady over cliff in wheel chair" cartoon, and really didn't want to discuss Juanita Broaddrick.

In 2004, Bush is going to hit them with the other barrel.

"Pay no attention to the reduced number of Senators and Representatives, we won really" - this is what they are saying?

Then I suppose the Giants truly won by allowing the Angels to win 4 games out of 7 and take the World Series. Would someone care to explain that to Barry Bonds, perhaps?

Regards, Ivan

You are going to try to explain capital investment to socialists?

Good point. Maybe they'd understand the poker analogy more easily: Bush bet it all, and now he's raked it all in.

But Beelzebubba likes'em that way...

According to Ms. Lewinsky, she and the President kissed. She unbuttoned her jacket; either she unhooked her bra or he lifted her bra up; and he touched her breasts with his hands and mouth.(161) Ms. Lewinsky testified: "I believe he took a phone call . . . and so we moved from the hallway into the back office . . . . [H]e put his hand down my pants and stimulated me manually in the genital area."(162) While the President continued talking on the phone (Ms. Lewinsky understood that the caller was a Member of Congress or a Senator), she performed oral sex on him.(163) He finished his call, and, a moment later, told Ms. Lewinsky to stop. In her recollection: "I told him that I wanted . . . to complete that

On an historical note, it was at Ms Palmieri's birthday party that Monica showed Wet Willy her thong as a means of introducing herself.

You don't spend political capital, you invest political capital. You can either invest is wisely, or invest it foolishly. If you invest it wisely, you end up with more political capital than you started with.

President Bush has been investing political capital for 2+ years, and as a result, his political capital is growing and growing and growing. This latest investment, in the 2002 elections, will pay off, BIG TIME.

...Democratic Party spokeswoman Jennifer Palmieri; currency that she said might have been better spent developing support for legislation he'll need to win reelection.

Seems that a more than a few successful candidates 'owe' their victories to President Bush's involvement. His tremendous, untiring efforts on their behalf has accomplished much in developing support for his agenda. Let's hope the conservative right doesn't overreach the upcoming Congressional session. Increments, only with small steps can this country be turned around.

Republicans have gained a large foothold in many localities, many state legislatures due in part to an upsurge in grassroots efforts. Hope they tend to the base foundation prior to attempting to appease all facets of the Party.

"He had a lot of political capital to spend," Palmieri told WABC Radio's Batchelor and Alexander Show as the returns came in late Tuesday. "He chose to spend on these midterm elections."

Al Gore, you see, would have placed his political capital in a Lock Box, thereby safeguarding it.

When did the democrats actually become so stupid ? Political "capital" isn't money. It isn't something you can "use up". It is the trust and good will of the majority of the citizens and voters in a particular political group, in this case the USA.

It is something you can waste or lose by not meeting the expectations of those whose trust and good will you have gained. George Bush Sr. most definitely squandered his political "capital".

Fortunately, his son watched it happen and, like any truly intelligent person, has taken profound lessons from the experience. One of the main symptoms of how idiotic the leadership of the democrats has become is their complete refusal to learn from what happened last Tuesday.

Bush *did* expend political capital, but by 11:00 p.m. Tuesday night, it was obvious that he got back every scrap, plus interest. The Democrats are trying to make this sound like a Pyrrhic victory for Bush, but it certainly was not. He pounded the Democratic Party into the ground like a tent stake, and didn't even get a blister.

The spin level has been ratcheted clean up to "puree" and the Democrats don't yet realize that they have one hand in the blender.

Actualy, "Shot his wad." is not a sexual reference, in it's orginal derivation.

Neither is "to go off half-cocked" or "blow his load" or "pull a boner" or "bent out of shape", but the subsequent slang usage or double meaning is much funnier than the original referent when used by or about the Clintonoids.

Lott isn't a good leader and got killed by Clinton in 95. The difference is that we now have the house, senate and the presidency, the difference really is that Bush is a leader and will set the agenda, and Lott will follow.

The other thing, Bush's political capital went WAY up, people saw the bump that Bush could produce by his presence. This is not on people in Washington, they will fear Bush's ability to bypass them and the media and go directly to the people.

If the Rats lurch to the left (the taking heads were saying that the minority leaders job is Pelosi's for the asking. Rather than working with Bush and taking some of the credit, they will lose big in 2004 in the house and senate.
