I will sure second that, Cobbie. (Good morning, by the way.)

A friend of mine is a Vietnam vet; a few years ago on Veterans Day, we were talking casually and I happened to thank him for his service. He was shocked. (If I'm not mistaken, he was 51 at the time.) He told me that was the first time in his life anyone had ever said that to him. I couldn't believe it. It made me so sad.

WW II and Korea

Those words are on Dad's grave marker. Lt. Col. Jack Strange USAF

The only discrimination I ever witnesed as a military dependant, was the old "My Dad's a Major- of yeah, well my Dad outranks your Dad."

Every day when I put together the Air Power post, I am reminded that the U.S. Military has put the greatest minds to work creating the most awesome array of aircraft ever.

If the scumbags of the world ever found out what our Military options include, there would be no need for them to ever take Ex-Lax.

Note to self:

Limit the use of the word "ever".

Good morning, duchess!
I'm honored to meet you, Dutchgirl.

I'm going to start to sound like a broken record in the coming months, so remember this day when I got stuck on this theme:

We have vets lying in hospitals all over this land without soap to bathe, without razors to shave, without shampoo to wash their hair and without glasses to read the newspaper.

It's time to do our part to help them live like human beings!
They are not animals to be shut up in a pound and forgotten!
They put their ass on the line for US and our children!

Snow Bunny and I, along with the Houston Area Texans of FreeRepublic, have a plan to help.

More coming as soon as we have the groundwork done.

OH! My goodness! You are very quick, aren't you? You remind me of someone I used to know! Everytime I turned around he was standing there in his whatever asking if I wanted to buy something! LOL! I guess I will have to put some training to good use and find myself some clothes!

BTW, I haven't been lurking long enough to know where you got your burka from. Did you make it yourself?

Thanks, Jen, for posting the Heroes song every day. A terrific reminder that our military men and women, past and present, are why we are free today. I hope you are feeling better today.

Thanks for your thoughtfulness toward our vets. I know it makes a great deal of difference to them. I like your dolls. I have been playing around with them and it is a lot of fun, but I am not sure I know how to post them. I am not even sure how to get them to a place I can post them from? I use to love seeing the dolls Souris did! I keep looking for her to come back and do more! Its such fun seeing what everyone comes up with!
