Whats going on in S.D.?

Has any one heard what is going on in S.D.? Are they going to investigate that questionable finish?

The last report I heard on one of the news channels (I don't remember which - I watched the all last night) said that the SD race was w/in the margin for a recount which is .25 of 1 percent. However, there was massive voter fraud on the part of the Dim-o-rats especially on the Native American Reservations. One Dim lady has already been arrested for forging signatures on absentee ballots. THE RUB IS: Per law, Thune can have the recount or he can sue based on the fraud investigations but he can't do both. I say he should sue for a federal investigation.

I agree, he should definitely sue for the investigation. Otherwise they'll just come up with the same fraudulent results.

No use recounting tainted votes. As much as I hate adopting the Gore strategy, the GOP should sue.

Is this a case where the need for the nation to have a smooth election out weighs the need for partisanship ?

The GOP should sue to get the lopsided results from Shannon County tossed out in court and if the courts balk, the Republican Senate should move to seat John Thune on the basis that the election results are so riddled with fraud the rightful winner was cheated unfairly of his mandate and legitimate claim to the seat. We should let Laut slide but by the same token we should teach the Democrats a lesson that cheating to win doesn't pay in this country and more important, send them the message Republicans aren't pushovers and WILL play for keeps. The South Dakota seat IS ours absent the massive fraud in the Indian reservations. No way in a democracy a Democrat gets 90% of the vote in one county. Not even here in California does a Democratic candidate get THAT percentage of the vote in the Rat strongholds in the Bay Area or Los Angeles in a good year. So let's make sure John Thune is South Dakota's next Senator.

No and no and no. The Rats play dirty, partisan, and they don't care about playing by the rules, about morality, or justice. They cheated in South Dakota. No way Republicans win landslide victories for other offices in the state but the Senate race's a photo finish. It doesn't pass the smell test here. We have earned a right to be partisan. Thune IS the winner in SD and no amount of Saddam style ballot box stuffing in Shannon County on Tim Johnson's behalf will change that reality. Its about time to seat him to send the Democrats the message you can't buy a Senate seat through election fraud.

Jesse probably is getting the busses chartered right now to have busloads of people become Louisiana citizens first, then roll into SD for rallies after the LA run-off vote...and I'm NOT joking

Why does this race take longer to count than any other? Red flags should come up there. And Thune goes home while the reace is still on. That's pretty weak of him IMO after so many people have helped him he "tries" to get some sleep. How could he sleep?

Thune has not conceded.

There will probably be an automatic recount. I'm sure GOP officials are looking very carefully at absentee ballots. There's also the problem with the polls in one area being allowed to stay open an extra hour supposedly because of a computer glitch. The votes after the official closing time may be challenged.

It's not over, but I feel that since the GOP already has the Senate and if there isn't an airtight case to be made for voter fraud or ignorance of the law which would make the difference, I think we should just give it up.

Bush will give Thune a nice appointment, I'll bet and he'll live to fight another day without the tarnish that Gore, Laut, and the Widder have.

Let Thune get an appointment in the Justice Department - Then let the Justice department start looking at ballots and registration cards from that county.

mainly because you have to remember there's always the Chafee factor...

true his switching would only make the Senate 50-50 again, with Cheney breaking ties, but let's not forget that it wasn't just Jeffords switching that gave control to the Dems (nor just the Carnahan deal). Don't forget that Coverdell tragically and unexpectedly died in 2000 and Zell Miller was given his seat. Yes, Coverdell votes 60% conservative, but he still voted for Dasshole for majority leader, know what I mean???

Many of my co-workers are shocked daily when I tell them about democRAT doings. They refuse to believe me until I provide a source (usually a simple google search). Many Americans are the same and still don't believe the democRATs cheat the way they do.

I think this may be a case when the nation as a whole needs a serious slap on the face so it may wake up and see what really goes on during elections. If we don't do this now, I believe it may be too late.
