The DU forum is not down. To get to it click on LINKS DIRECTORY at the top and then FORUMS AND COMMUNITY and the DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND.
I guess they are leaving the message up so disruptors leave them alone.

I saw it for myself last nite. The hacker planted the popup on as many threads as he could do. When you clicked the thread the popup would come up with the load.

It really freeked them. They wanted the FBI to investigate FR! They said we were going to jail for this. It was a hoot!

LOL -- there's a thread titled "12161 votes for Wellstone" arguing that Mondale should sue to demand that Wellstone's (pre-death absentee ballot, presumably) votes be transferred to him.

Eventually, somebody who knows how to do arithmetic wandered into the thread and pointed out that, even if some court bought this hare-brained argument, it wouldn't change the outcome.
