I have been told by someone extremely close to Alabama Senator Richard Shelby that Shelby wanted to head up the CIA after the 2000 election, but he couldn't because Alabama had a Democratic governor, who would appoint a Democrat to fill Shelby's seat. Now maybe we'll get that hack Tenet out of there and put Shelby in his place.

My parents live in AL. Actually, they live in the county that messed up the count. They will be happy if this turns out to be true.

Alabama's governor race is going to become the Florida version of the 2000 presidential race. And I might add for the same reason....to try and steal the election! Riley is the Governor-elect, not Siegelman! The votes have been certified. Siegelman will eventually lose in the courts at the expense of the Alabama taxpayers.
