Some body pinch me...
after all the free advertizing that Ron "Tax The Internet and Anything That Moves
Or Doesn't Move" Kirk got from Sixty Minutes and PBS...Texans appear to have
cut through the B.S. and sent this "pro-business" Democrat packing.
Ron Kirk is "pro-business" in the same way a vampire is "pro-blood"

Tell me about it. Now I'm listening to Chrome-Dome tell FOX-4 reporters that he's preparing for a "long night." Tarrant County (Ft. Worth) is going through a manual recount at the moment because of some "software glitch." It has also been said that similar problems have occurred in Harris County (Houston).
"Long night," eh? That concerns me.
No mercy.

I've been telling people for weeks not to worry about this. Cornyn isn't a great campaigner, but there is NO WAY Texas elects a RAT senator. I'll be shocked if Cornyn comes in at less than 54%.

I was listening to conservative talk show host Gary McNamara on WBAP this afternoon when a woman called in. I didn't recognize her voice, but she described where she lived (Old East Dallas, just east of downtown), so she must've been one of my neighbors. She said she was a lifelong Democrat who never voted for Republicans, but she had waited months for the chance to vote against Ron Kirk and it was the biggest thrill she'd had in 20 years (guess her husband is a Democrat, too). She described all the trash-covered vacant lots, homeless bums, pothole-filled streets, and rundown parks with no police protection in our neighborhood, and how she blamed Kirk for ignoring basic services and putting the city into huge debt to pay for his shining sports arena-type projects that enriched his backers. I couldn't agree more.
See, it's true: Ron Kirk does help Democrats and Republicans find common ground.
