We still need MO or MN. That does it to get to 50/50. If Chafee switches, we need both seats. Then he won't switch.

I just looked at the counties in MO and feel a bit better.

Kansas City hasn't come in yet at all, but St. Louis city is 64% in, with a 35,000 vote difference for Carnahan. That means that we can expect about 17,000 more net votes for Carnahan out of St. Louis. If the net difference in KC is similar to St. Louis, that gives Carnahan another 50,000.

So perhaps 50K from KC and 17K more from St. Louis turning Talent's 80,000 lead into only 13,000. Persimably, he gets more net votes from the rest of the state and wins.

Perhaps someone from MO can tell me if this analaysis is even remotely plausible.
