Three more in. Thune's lead creeps back up to 1800!
Still six Indian precincts.

Anybody notice that Patty Murray is nowhere to be seen tonight? What cowardice. We should freep her bigtime tomorrow.

That's what I said. LOL
There isn't an artificial " high ", I bet, as H-I-G-H as this is ! :-)
To: Gunder
Looks like the rest of them are dem leaning counties. Praying we pull through.

Gordon Smith kept his seat as Senator here in Oregon. Our Gov. race has been tight. Just 44 votes apart at one time. Prayers please through the night for Mannix to break a twenty year dem as Governor here in Oregon.
Here are OR governor totals from a few minutes ago.
Looks like a Libertarian "victory." Sickening.
OREGON Governor Race (71% Precincts Reporting)
Ted Kulongoski DEMOCRAT Number of Votes: 477,978 (48%)
Kevin Mannix REPUBLICAN Number of Votes: 472,154 (47%)
Tom Cox LIBERTARIAN Number of Votes: 45685 (5%)

FOFLOL. I didn't know we had one.

St. Louis, Lake, Koochiching, Itasca. There might be more, but that's what Rand McNally and CNN (take the deep blue counties) gave me.

First Republican governor in 40 years. Hawaii's first gov after statehood was Republican, and they haven't had one since. I'm somewhat hopeful too, seeing the numbers for the Mink tribute. It was something like 51-37, but that might bode pretty well for our chances on the second special election (first special election will go to her husband to finish out her term).

Yeah, it's hardcore BLUE country up there. However, there also aren't a whole lotta people once you get outside of Duluth.

The reservations aren't so serious, then? If it holds like the first one posted (167 - 19) then it's only around 900 votes between the six? Or is the population/turout greater in some of the remaining precints?

I changed clothes, right after I had dinner. I knew that this was going to be a loooooooooooooooooooooong night. Four years +, on FR and ya learn what to do. LOL
Yummmmmmmmmm, butter cookies.
To: Cool Guy
by my calculations..there are still 25 precincts out there and davison has 14 of them...so if that is true and that county is mostly gop....then hopefully we will be alright

Johnson netted a gain of 400 in the first one, so some of them are quite large. This is still up for grabs.

Liked your picture of Barbara Bush with BJ. Do you know what Barbara said after the service? "Here my son is president of the United States, and I still cannot get a decent seat."I was really hoping that when Jeb came out on stage tonight, the first thing he said would have been, "In the immortal words of Liberace, 'I wish my brother George were here!'"
To: nopardons
Oh, I'm so glad you said that... I bought way too much candy for Halloween and I've got that in the kitchen. Yea.

Hugs Sweetie. What a wonderful night/day whatever. :)Chip Pickering got back in the House. YIPPEEE. Got a lovely letter from Margaret Pickering thanking me for supporting her husband, Judge Pickering. Remember him? Bless his heart, he NEVER deserved what the democrats did to him. It's been hard on that family and they tried the same tactics on Chip. It was grim politics in Ole Ms., BUT the GOOD GUYS won. YIPPEEEEEE.

Except that one, rest look like Dem counties. Hoping for a very slender win. Like another poster asked, are the absentee ballot also counted already?
To: mwl1
Yes and YES. :-)
To: Gunder
St. Louis 59% in (Mondale 65-33)
Lake 89% in (Mondale 60-36)
