This was posted about five times yesterday. It is not breaking news today. Sorry.

It's breaking news in that it's now being called an "apparent" suicide attempt. Yesterday the news wires reported it was suicide as if it were a fact. Frankly, it smells like murder to me.

I'm new to the story. Someone like this is not put in protective custody in a prison probably full of Black Muslims?

He was in a detention facility awaiting trial, so I'm pretty sure he wasn't in with any hardcore Muslims. Rubin was a survivor, so committing suicide in such a strange manner is difficult to believe. ....Especially since the sentence hadn't been handed out yet.

Irv Rubin, 57, slashed his throat several times with a safety razor blade, then jumped or fell 18 feet from a balcony to a concrete floor at a federal jail. "It was a definite suicide attempt," said Bill Woolsey of the U.S. Marshals Service. He didn't shoot himself in the head first?

I'm just saying that the type of facility Rubin was in is unlikely to have organized Muslim gangs. It could very well have Muslims, though. And he could've been killed by one. As for Rubin's personal protection, I have no idea what kind of arrangement he had, if any at all.

Someone has to say this: I listen to alot of radio here in L.A. and in the last 5 -8 years, this guy used to call every station day and night( I mean EVERY )and they'd let him on to "yack yack yack".No time is a good time to die, but if you're going to become a terrorist, to anyone,IMO you've given up your right to live.
