Voted Republican this morning in Charlotte, except for one sane Libertarian who has a chance of cleaning up the County Commission. There was a steady stream of voters even at 10AM.

The Irksome Bowles campaign has called my wife (registered Republican) twice to remind her to vote. I suppose their assumption is that all women vote DemocRat. --heh, heh, heh. They didn't want to talk to me. Wonder why?

Voter turnout low in Frederick County, Va.this morning around 10:00, mostly senior citizens. We voted straight Republican. Warner and Wolf have been the Republican incumbents for years. Only independents were running against Warner for the Senate.

Voted about an hour ago here in WNC, #274 -- the poll workers said that turnout was a little light, due to pretty rotten weather (cold and rainy).

While I voted straight R, I confess that I didn't feel that I was sufficiently well informed enough to cast an intelligent vote in every single obscure nonpartisan judicial race. Since I consider myself pretty well educated and informed, it does make one wonder a bit about how we go about selecting people for those offices.
