My husband and I went to vote around 7:30 here in southern IN (greater Louisville, KY) area. There were only about 3 other people in line ahead of us.

Typically - there are folks outside with signs, etc. - didn't see a soul doing that this year.

Of course - I (my husband, too) voted for Sodrell (R)--IN-9 - a Democratic area (has voted for a Dem for Congress the last 30+ years. I also "filled in the arrow" for other local races - Republican, of course!!!

It always gives me such a great feeling after I vote and walk out of the voting place. It really is such a wonderful thing to be able to vote!!!

One moe thing - Indiana's polls close at 6:00 PM - I believe I heard on one of the cable news shows a couple of days ago that Indiana would be the place to watch - since it is one of the first states to close its polls!!!

oops - wanted to add - that this is the very first time that our oldest son is of age to vote. It was SO COOL to see his name in the book that we have to sign befre we receive our ballot.

Of course - he is away at college - but he DID send in his absentee ballot last week - and, according to what he TOLD us - he voted Republican, too!!!! :))
