Mosts posts herein dump on the FBI and all Law enforcement....nice....not that they haven't deserved it due to Ruby Ridge etc.

But in retrospect, when the African American monsters were killing people, it doesn't seem a sane way to help the then desperate local, state, and federal authorities trying to locate madmen who wwre engaged in a terrifying killing spree that had the Washington DC area all but shut down....

This Ass and his hand-holding attorney are geeky, self serving, self important morons.

Oh I Know!!. Lots of people get off on crapping on authority....But at the time, help was needed and these morons failed.

First, The FBI agents involved had absolutely no reason to suspect anything of this citizen. Second, The agents involved had no reason to be fearful of the press or witnesses. Third, the only statements I made stand as a guide to the FBI to understand that they need the cooperation of citizens in order to do their job effectively.

If the FBI takes the view that anyone not in the Federal Law Enforcement is a potential enemy then they have made their job impossible. Fourth, if these law enforcement agents had spent a little more time and care tracing down the actual leads they had from the multiple stops of the Caprice perhaps several citizens in the DC area would be alive.

I have had the occaision to meet several FBI special agents. Those I know share the same criticism of these agents. All these agents knew was that the individual they were interviewing had purchased a .233 cal rifle within the past ten years and that the individual in question owned a white van. Certainly had they been courteous and professional and not just gone on a fishing expedition and had there not been other reported problems with property not being returned to citizens there would not have been a problem.

In short my ciricism remains the same. Instead of being seen as a professional organization persuing assorted major criminals the FBI's image has degenerated too much and every single additional abuse damages the effectiveness of that organization.

In short do not mistake a demand for improvement in effectiveness with a hatered of the organization per se.

Let us presume that the pattern of killings had indicated that a person espousing a Liberal point of view was pssibly behind the killings. Let us presume that the murder weapon was say a hammer. Would rousting every member of the carpeter's union be considered to be a legitimate tactic? I think not.

There are any number of scenarios that one could conjure up with any number of other targets where the outrage wuld be universal. I am also incensed that local vetrans with no record whatsoever were considered high on the list by some law enforcement. Yes, even though one of the two alleged to be the sniper(s) was a US Army veteran. They were not just targeting regular army troopsd they were focusing on Special Operations veterans when there was no evidence that any shot was particularly a long range shot.

I have no objection to the FBI persuing leads and investigating and I usually will cooperate with any law enforcement but in this case were I confronted with the same request I would have stated I do NOT discuss what I might own for firearms with officers potentially targeting me in an investigation. If you wish to examine any property of mine please obtain a search warrant.
