This rally is complete, or nearly so.
BIG tick today, but breadth was only modest.
Sentiment keeps pushing to new bullish extremes as the market rebounds from successively deeper lows... no way "the" bottom is in.

BIG tick today, but breadth was only modest. Today's 10-day MA for TICKS is highest in years. If volume and breadth were expanding on this rally, that would be bullish. They're not.
Meanwhile, the net short position of commercial hedgers in S&P futures has doubled in the last 3 weeks, while the average Joe is long the e-mini's.
We'll see what happens.....

So, what caused the nearly 150 point drop in the afternoon? Rumsfeld's talk? Upcoming election? Ouija boards? Corporate boards?
