"Power struggle."
That's how FOX News Sunday's Tony Snow summed up this year's mid-term election.
Plus, is this election a referendum on President Bush's handling of the War on Terror, his plans for Iraq and his management of the economy?

I like this team for the Fox election coverage--its dynamic. In 2000 I watched CNN. That was the final straw for my CNN watching. FNC will be on from 5pm on for me tomorrow.

Who will fill the vacuum left by departing New Jersey Sen. Robert Torricelli?
What vacuum?
To: SwinneySwitch
At least Brit will keep things under control and make sure everyone does his/her homework.

I agree--good team. I absolutely refuse to watch MSNBC. Can't stand Matthews fast talking.

On his program today, Rush mentioned he had been contacted by NBC to appear tomorrow night with Tom Brokaw and Tim Russert beginning at 9 o'clock. I never heard if he had agreed to do so. Does anyone have information as to whether or not he decided to make an appearance on NBC? If he decides to do so, it would prove to be interesting.

The thought of watching a tv channel other than cable--haven't really done it in almost a year. He should be on Fox instead!! I think they are using him for ratings, IMO.

I believe he said he had agreed and would be on sometime around 10:00 PM EST and then on the west-coast edition around 1:00 AM EST.

FOX will be my channel, as well, unless they Geraldo for anything. Then, I'll switch to MSNBC. Should things seem to be going very well for the good guys, I will click through Don Rather just to see the fear and hatred in his eyes.
There has been a lot of talk today about VNS not making any "mistakes" this year. They didn't make a mistake in declaring PanderAl winner in FLA, they INTENTIONALLY reported as fact something that wasn't in an attempt to influence the outcome of the election, knowing they could always claim "mistake."

Rush will be on NBC with Brokaw and Russert from 10pm to 11pm eastern time! I'll flip over from FNC for that!
To: LoadEmUp
From Rush's website:
I'm going to appear on Tuesday night on NBC with Tom Brokaw and Tim Russert. Their coverage is going to be divided into two stages. They're going to be on from 10PM to 11P ET, and as of now I'm going to be on in a five to six minute segment to discuss things in that hour, and then they'll break for local news and The Tonight Show, and come back at 1 AM ET for their west coast coverage, and the end of election returns on the east coast - and I'll appear for a portion of that hour as well.

NBC knew that's the only way they could get viewers. I'm surprised Rush is going to do this.

I'll pop back and forth to NBC to try and catch Rush but will otherwise remain fixed on Brit Hume.
On the other hand, if, at some point, a Republican is obviously beating an expected Democrat winner (a la Forrester and Lautenberg), I'll switch to Rather and Jennings for a couple moments just to watch them writhe.

At the risk of being clobbered, does anyone know if Linda Vester is expecting a baby?
You ARE "cruising for a bruising", aren't you, Mr. Bates?.....But gotta admit that wifey and I both were commenting just today about certain areas of "bulk"; maybe it was the tight purple shirt?

She does seem to be developing in certain areas. Maybe it's just the sheer joy of matrimony.

I heard her say she had received mail from viewers about it and although I was walking through the room and didn't hear everything, I believe she said she was in her 7th month. But, I also heard her say something about Feb. What a beautiful, intelligent, and fine person she is. She speaks Arabic, a degree in Middle Eastern studies of some sort. Knows her stuff and lets her emotions show and the very best interviewer on TV.
