The problem with this 'great idea in Western Thought is that it is based on human logic and reason. Nothing else in the universe is. This one stupid statement has shackled western thought for centuries. Thinking is neither a necessary nor even a particularly desirable requisite for 'existence'.

Thinking is neither a necessary nor even a particularly desirable requisite for 'existence'.
There are those who argue that it is, since something "exists," that is, something is placed in the category of things that exist, only because someone discerns that the thing exists.
Would unicorns "not exist" if there were no one around to make that determination?
