just because the tabloids don't bother with fact-finding before blabbing off, doesn't make them to have any credibility. the tabloids and newspapers both may not do completely conclusive info-digging, but at least with a newspaper, it DID info-digging. why should we trust a source that tells us it has conclusive evedince that Elvis is part of the Al'quada, and that "bat-boy" is going to be the next winner on American Idol?... at least with newspapers you have a bias to take into acount. tabloids just print words in hopes of money...

I should ignore you, as you are obviously a liberal with no sense of humor. Perhaps you should read my post a little more carefully, as it is clearly just a bit tongue in cheek.
As for the press investigating properly, yeah, their investigative abilities are well documented, because they continue to bring up Haliburton and President Bush, while ignoring Terry McAuliffe and Global Crossing. Shall we also discuss the investigation the mainstream press did in regards to the last president?
Also, you need some work with the proper use of capital letters and perhaps remedial spelling lessons.

One very basic and relevant reason: stories of Elvis and BatBoy are obviously comedy fiction articles. Stories about real people presently living will get your butt sued if you do not have some evidence to back up what you said, ESPECIALLY when you say an adult man is having a homosexual affair with a minor. If you say something like that, you BETTER have tapes of interviews with people who would be in a position to know.
