Straight party voting in one action should not be legal. You should see the ballot in my county. I'll bet there were at least 20 races where the Republican had NO opponent.
I didn't vote straight party ONLY because I like to enjoy the feeling of voting for each and every one of them. But it certainly would have saved me a bunch of time.

How's the job situation there? I may be looking for a new domicile come Nov. 6.
Seriously, even though I know the folks that run my poll (helps that my mother is one of them), and I know the machine (optical scan), I still mark each and every race individually.

We have something like 140 DIFFERENT ballot styles. Talk about opportunities for fraud! Already it has been discovered that 2 of the candidates are not on some of the ballot styles that are supposed to be so those would have to be write-ins and hand-counted. Then, the first two weeks of early voting was done on paper ballots. The last week was all electronic. I don't know how it will be done on Tuesday. I know when I was working as a poll watcher for early voting, voters were sometimes getting the wrong ballot for their precinct.

We had a lot of local candidates with no Repub opponent. I never vote for any of them because they don't need it and it only encourages "a Republican would never be elected here."
