I suppose Mary could be considered our mother if you stretch the definitions. In the flesh, she was the mother of Jesus, and spiritually, we are joint heirs with Christ (thus His brothers and sisters spiritually). But I think it a better description to say Mary is our spiritual sister, since her relationship to Jesus now is not mother/son, but Savior/woman.

She will always be His mother...Jesus gave her to us as Our Mother at the foot of the cross...Can you or anyone else imagine telling their mother...I don't consider you my mother anymore just my sister? My mother would knock me over the head! Mary is the spouse of the Holy Spirit...no other human did God overshadow...nowhere in scripture does Christ tell us or her He does not consider her no longer His mother...She is the Art of the Convenant...She said yes to God, God did not use her as instrument...She was asked and He believes in the dignity of each human being...She gave us Jesus, the entire world so man could be saved...totally God loving unselfish act...and Mary as Our Mother still points to her son and says Do What He Says and she did at the wedding of Cana.

Huh? That's like saying "My mother is now my citizen-sister, since her relationship to me now is not mother/son but taxpayer/taxpayer."

Ridiculous. One's mother is one's mother, period. Motherhood is not something that can be switched off; it exists eternally. The Blessed Virgin is Jesus' mother, then, now, and always.

By the way: Jesus did not become our Lady's Savior upon His resurrection, as you imply. He always was her Savior, from the moment when she was conceived: "And Mary said: My soul doth magnify the Lord. And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour." [--St. Luke 1:46-47]. Jesus wasn't even born when she said those words, thus demonstrating that Jesus had already saved His mother from eternal damnation.
