There are probably many reasons why Mondale doesn't want to debate Coleman...

Yes, yes... it is because he is a drooling old fool that he does not wish to debate, not the fact that he hasn't been involved in politics for 20 years and had no idea what today's issues are.
If you wish to attack Mondale, please do so on the facts for there are plenty of them, hundreds of ligitimate reasons. But don't don't disrespect him for his age. Reagan taught us better than that.

Reagan knew when to exit (and stay out of) politics. Can you imagine if the GOP had convinced one of our prior political "giants" to fill the seat of a dead man? You don't have to imagine very much, because WE DON'T PLAY THAT GAME, do we?
Mondale is an embarrassment and fair game.

Feeling prophetic?I am certainly Not.

Maybe he needs a clostomy bag on his chest.

Did he ever meet any people today?
He was holding a press conference this morning, when I went to work!

Oh, BS. Age is a legitimate issue during a campaign. Mondale was right to raise it 20 years ago. And we should raise it now.

If Mondale can bring up age, like he did when he ran for president, then he has opened it up as an issue, and we can use age as an issue today. Saying that, Mondale would have to be insane to debate Coleman today, based on his age, I can't see him standing there, remembering everything, and not having a heart attack for 3 hours.

There's one and only one reason that Ol' Fritz won't debate:

I wonder if the Democrats will be muttering behind their hands about Alzheimer's as they did for Reagan...

I heard Mondale today in a campaign ad. He mumbled, he acted boring, he had nothing to say. A fine representative for Minnesota if the Dems who are so blind to reality get their way.

He acts like someone who has had a slight stroke.

The left was more than cruel toward] Reagan. His age was fodder for comedians every day. Mondale made age an issue when he was 61. Reagan was active his entire life. Mondale was exhumed just in time for Halloween. Boo!
This man is a joke. He should be tested for Alzheimer's.
Every word he spoke was read directly from a scripted Democrat policy paper.
