In my opinion, it's sufficient to kill the guys who are attacking you.

When dealing with most enemies I would agree, but not with muslims. History has shown that the only way get them to back away or become peaceful once again sadly, is to deal with them in a way that terrifies them. Prince Dracul(sp?) comes to mind as someone who succesfully repulsed muslim hords. He did it in such a way that still horrifies us today.

Prince Dracula is actually Vladimir the impaler (also known as Vlad the great). One of the most famous stories of him, is how he took hundreds of his victims, had them impaled on large wooded stakes, outside of the city, along the road. When a army came to invade, the stench nearly knocked them out, but when they saw the ghastly display, the men became demoralized, and the were filled with fear, they turned around and left.
