I did blurt it out that one day, somebody like him is going to pass me, go on down the road and plow into a deer. You can guess what happened next...
A 2nd time, I was coming home and driving up a grade, coming over the hill next to where I live, and also where the deer sometimes like to graze. It just happens that at that particular time of year and time of day, the sun is coaligned with the road leading up the hill, making it impossible to see straight. Of course, I am thinking that one of these days, there will be a deer there and I will hit it. Not surprising, when I got closer I noticed something slightly obscuring the sun, it was antlers...there was a group of deer crossing the road right then that I would've hit if I maintained my speed.
I'm often amazed that there aren't more accidents when the sun is at certain levels. Maybe there are and they just don't tell us why the accidents occur. Blinding! I keep saying I'm going to order those sun visors that are tinted and attach to your visor so that you can extend the area covered and still see the road.
