No.

But...it wasn't the first time that I should have been dead, nor the last.

Had a few of those type of incidents myself. Makes ya wonder doesn't it? Must be some truth to, 'just wasn't your time.'

I watched my best friend fall out of a tree like you and land on his back. As he turned his head to the side his temple hit the tine of a rototiller he'd missed by about 1/8th of an inch...

Myself, I got my right leg stuck in between the ties of a railroad trestle me and two friends were trying to get off of while an Amtrak was bearing down on us at 75 mph. I reached about 2 ties forward, grabbed and wrenched my leg out sideways, took one step and dived for the end\side. While I was in the air I sh*t you not that I could see the train sliding by with sparks flying off the wheels. My buddies were gape jawed and saying "You're dead!" like they'd already registered the impact that didn't happen. Then we had to run our asses off because the damned thing stopped, thinking it had hit me...

About 6 hours later I went to the general store I worked at and my boss looked up at me and said "You've been F****** with trains haven't you?,[umm kinda] #4 bridge down in Clifton?" [Yea] "Had to jump off that bastard when I was your age, you look about like I did..."

If I concentrate on recalling that incident it kinda goose bumps me, that freakin' horn going flat out when we were on the bridge and how quiet that sucker was initially. You couldn't pay me enough to cross an active trestle now.
