The idea is such an emotional fantasy -- and so not in keeping with the actual Wellstone legacy -- that it could only have come from a person wracked with grief and pain.

Rush said it best yesterday, "They reached into the grave, snatched Wellstone's soul and ascribed it to themselves for their own petty, partisan purposes."

What happened had nothing to do with either Norm Coleman or Walter Mondale

But it has everything to do with what party you want in power. When I heard of them booing Trent Lott, I kept thinking of the Democratic debaucle in New York where they booed and spit on the Boy Scouts.

Coleman and Mondale owe Minnesotans a vigorous contest of ideas.

Right. How is this going to happen in the short amount of time left?

Kahn appeared so caught up in grief, loss and anger that he lost his way.
Either that or it was the grimmest-rankest-vilest expression of political necrophilia ever televised. I'm thinking the latter.

The newspaper is urging independents to abandon their initial revulsion of this event. I don't think they will.

My mother-in-law, the independent, said she's leaning toward registering as a Republican because of how the Democrats looked like animals the other night. This will hurt Democrats across the country.
