Welcome Hr. You would fit into this group quite well. Hope you'll visit again, soon.

Election nite snack advice, from an old Hen who has supervised more election nite shindigs than she can remember.

Keep it simple. The food will be secondary. Assorted chips and dips,, veggie platter,, fruit and cheese platter. Here in redneck country, a bologna and cheese tray disappears faster than anything else. (If I'm gonna have to clean the room after the event, I skip crackers with the bologna and cheese, since they'll walk around with this stuff and the crackers will crumble and pieces will fall to the floor where they step on them and grind them into the carpet.)

Are you fixing the food yourself, or having it catered?

LOL! Leave it to a farmer to give me the most practical advice! It's just an intimate, small gathering (around 3 couples). The baloney is a nice idea though, since I'm "theme" naming all the food (Right Wings from KFC, Liberal Weenies--little smokies, Dole Fruit Salad, etc.). "Typical Liberal Baloney" sounds good, eh?
