I'll wait until I have a story to post, but in today's debate in a tighter-than-expected race (IN-07), Progressive Caucus member Julia Carson walked out in the middle of the debate, complaining about "negative" ads ("I don't feel comfortable," blah, blah, blah). The ad in question shows her face, and says that she paid her own taxes late TEN times, voted against Bush on Iraq, and for tax increases. That's it. It did not mention her drug-dealing grandson, or any of a host of other shady issues that surround her. Let's hope this is another Dem implosion (not that it will matter in urban Indy).

Brose McVey is going to win this race. Carson has always been somewhat nonchalant in her campaigning, relying on fraud and corrupt poll workers and flunkies to deliver the vote. But McVey is a gamer and making the numbers work in the redrawn 7th. Could be a huge upset. Every decent American gains if she goes down.

Her grandson also was accused and, I think, convicted of entering some Mexican men's apartment and beating them up just because he didn't like them.
