The National Restaurant Association needs these people to keep their labor costs low. You the taxpayer get stuck with the bill for the Govt. services they use or require, tough luck to you. Or, you must be a racist for objecting to paying $89,000 per illegal.

Statement by John J. Sweeney Urging President Bush and Congress to Pass Immigration Reform April 11, 2002

Today the AFL-CIO, representing 13 million working men and women and their family members, renews its call for:

Legalization of the undocumented among us who are working hard, paying taxes and contributing to their communities and the nation;
Replacement of employer sanctions and the I-9 system that have never served their intended purpose;
Reform, not expansion, of guest worker programs;
And full protection of workplace rights, including the freedom to organize a union, for all workers—regardless of immigration status—and stiff and meaningful penalties for employers who break immigration and labor laws in order to exploit workers.
From the aflcio.org website.

Seems others have different ideas about immigration reform.
