U.S. Army....Power To Prevail

The U.S. MLRS [Multiple Rocket Launcher] aquired public notice during Operation Desert Storm.
The Iraqi's called them...."Steel rain"
An MLRS from that time could bracket in totallity an area the size of a Football field.
During several operations within Desert Storm..U.S. MLRS's provided effective fire with the intended confusion generated on the Iraqi's to dupe them into thinking attacks were about to happen in one quadrant ..were as..the U.S. Forces flanked and succeeded in the ruse .
MLRS's of that time fired various munitions ranging from 18-26 miles.
MLRS's currently deployed in South Korea near the DMZ provide counter fire to North Korean artillery.
Comment from a U.S. Commander of that theatre,
"We are the guys who are going to take down the enemies artillery before they know what is happening....
We're the guys that can really reach out and touch someone."
The current M270 A1 MLRS field state of the art smart weapons...MSTARS.
After dispensed..the MSTAR munitions onboard sensors activate to seek stationary and moving targets inflight.

Israel fields the MLRS....IDF will not comment on them....most especially the rumor that they are nuclear modified...so says Janes Intel.
The MLRS's fall under the umbrella of U.S. tactical nuclear forces aswell....as Israel..little is said on them.
