Even if it is true, it is high time Bush spend some political capital. He energizes the base everywhere he goes, and we need him out there.

Exactly...I wish the President would publicly slap the sh*t out of the French, but I have no criticism what so ever of his campaigning. He needs to be out there everyday between now and election day...his Presidency is on the line and it's not too melodramatic to say that if the dim's keep the Senate he could be a lame duck for the next two years. He gives candiates a 2-5% bump in the polls everywhere he goes...I'd be VERY suspicious of any polls that show his numbers slipping. And even if they are...so what?
