Try doing that in NJ where concealed-carry is outlawed, and you'll be sent to prison for 10 years. As it was for my gun permit, I had to wait five months, and then be called to the police dept. to be re-fingerprinted because the detective told me "the FBI has deemed your fingerprints to be unreadable."
