Call your local GOP HQ, they can tell you. Some, mine for instance, send out a recommended voter list to registered Repubs.

You might be able to find such information at Bill Simon's website: http://www.simonforgovernor.com
You could also call his campaign headquarters at 916.441.3745.

http://www.ca-ra.org/pdfs/2002JudicialGuide.pdf has a list of who appointed the judges and what their party affiliation is. This is a list compiled by the CA Republican party, and it's from the website of the CA Republican Assembly. You need Acrobat reader to read it.

MY comment/caution about the list: They put Pete Wilson (R)in the same category as Gray Davis, ASSUMING what type of judges Wilson appointed, but clearly they don't know, YET urge people to vote AGAINST Wilson's appointees.

Here is what they say: "Gray Davis, Pete Wilson and Jerry Brown are pro-abortion and very likely used a pro-abortion litmus test for theirappointees; their appointees should receive a NO vote. George Deukmejian was sympathetic to pro-life issues while governor; his appointees should receive a YES vote."

Considering how liberal the judges are, who were appointed by Democrat governore, in my opinion, we can't afford to vote against Republican judges, when we aren't even sure what their stand is on the issues. They are still likely to be infinitely more reasonable than Democrat judges appointed by Democrat governors -- especially the left-liberal governors we had in CA.

What I have done, is vote yes on judges listed as Republicans and appointed by Republican governors.

But anyway here is some info to help you decide.

In New Mexico, we vote to retain judges. I went to Google and read about them. I don't vote to retain any DemonRat judges--I don't care who they are. If they want my vote, they have to be Republican. I'm not taking a chance voting for someone who is pro-abortion. The irony of it--one of the people I will be voting against has been to my home for dinner.
